Bernard Cohen

Founder & Managing Partner

Bernard founded Altaire Wealth to deliver tailored financial guidance to high-net-worth individuals, families, and organizations. After a decade at the core of a $2 billion UBS Private Wealth team in New York, he launched Altaire to combine institutional-caliber insights with the agility and personalization of an independent boutique.

His approach extends beyond traditional asset management, integrating portfolio strategy, long-term planning, and tax efficiency. As a holistic advisor, Bernard focuses on both sides of the balance sheet—optimizing assets while advising on strategic borrowing solutions for real estate, business expansion, and M&A. As a specialist in liquidity and exit planning, including pre- and post-IPO strategies, Bernard serves as a trusted advisor to executives and entrepreneurs navigating complex transactions.

He is a native French speaker, fluent in Spanish, and holds Series 7, 63, and 66 FINRA licenses. Bernard earned a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master’s in International Business from the University of Florida. He lives in Miami with his wife and children and is actively involved in community organizations including The Shul of Bal Harbour and The Sephardic Center of Surfside.
